I Found Love and Freedom - Dominique Hodge

I loved you, but I love me more.

I chose me; I am my own Alpha.

I was a caged bird, but now I fly free.

My love for me is an exhilarating, magical, and an unforeseen destiny awaiting.

Your lack of love was salt being poured on my wounded heart.

Your unlovable ways made me love me more.

My freedom was at the end of the road.

You stole my love and freedom, like a thief in the night.

Once I gazed in the mirror, and saw me, I found what was taken.

Like you, I became self-absorbed.

I became the cool-breezed flowers blown against a cheek.

A sweet, sweet, baby while they sleep.

My love and freedom will always be mine to keep.
